Businessman Jan Henric Buettner bought an entire village on Schleswig-Holstein's Baltic coast for some seven million euros. After eight years of planning and development, the hotel village is set to open its doors to high-paying guests this year.
The grounds of the Weissenhaus estate are to be kept open to the public, as is the beach. Jan Henric Buettner spent much of his childhood there. A portrait by Dorothea Topf. More Information: http://www.dw.de/program/made-in-germany/s-3066-9798
