DMX on "Fix My Life": - Visit our website! - Facebook Fan Page! - Follow Us!
Rapper DMX starred on the premiere episode of OWN's series "Iyanla: Fix My Life", but unfortunately nothing was 'fixed' and he claims it made his life "worse". Hello friends, thanks for tuning back into ClevverMusic for all your music updates. The goal of the 90 minute "Fix My Life" episode was to bring legendary rapper and actor DMX and his son Xavier back together, as the two haven't spoken in a year and a half. From the footage it was clear that DMX was not in the right state of mind, becoming very defensive when host Iyanla Vanzant tries to reprise certain issues that may have caused the estranged relationship. It's no secret DMX has struggled with substance abuse. In the now famous clip that has caught everyone's attention, Xavier calls his Dad a "hypocrite and a liar", and DMX takes it out onthe show's host for chiming in and he tells her to "shut the f*** up!" and eventually storms out of the room.

In the end, no reconciliation takes place and the emotional conversation ends with DMX saying, "I'm not going to change for anyone...I still love you, but that's not going to fly....well I guess I'll see you at my funeral then." It seems DMX's issues lie deeper than rekindling the relationship with his son. According to HipHopWired, the show had no right to broadcast the footage and actually made his life worse. A rep for DMX released the statement, "DMX agreed to be a guest on Iyanla: Fix My Life with the understanding that she would be helping his relationships with his ten children. When he arrived for the taping, most of the content was focused on his struggles with drugs and poor parenting. Iyanla did not "fix" DMX's life just made his image worse, and does not have DMX's personal written consent to use the footage." We don't think this is the last we will hear of this story, and we hope that DMX gets the help he needs to maintain relationships with his family. In happier news, the press rep also announced that Dark Man X is currently working on a new album which may include collaborations from Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Kanye West; however none of this is confirmed. I have dropped the emotional clip from the show below for you to view for yourself. Let us know your thoughts on the matter by leaving your comments below.
