Hey guys! With the MTV Movie Awards right around the corner, it's time to have some fun and talk about who I think will take home the golden popcorn and why. So without further ado, I give you, the Clevver Movies MTV Movie Awards prediction show! For Movie Of The Year my prediction is... "The Avengers." Why? Because it was one of the biggest movies of 2012, and made over 600 million dollars at the domestic box office. To put that into perspective, that's about 150 million more than "The Dark Knight Rises" and that was another huge blockbuster for the Summer movie season. Remember, the MTV Movie Awards are voted by the fans. If all the people who came out to see "The Avengers" in the theaters went online to show their support in votes, than this movie's got this category on lock. Daniel Day Lewis won the Academy Award for his performance in Spielberg's "Lincoln" and rightfully so, he was nothing short of duh-mazing. But with the MTV crowd, I can't say I think DDL will be taking home the golden popcorn. For this category, I'm torn between either Bradley Cooper for "Silver Linings Playbook" OR Jamie Foxx for "Django Unchained." Why? Because these were both fantastic movies, both actors are hugely popular right now, and I really don't think Channing Tatum's abs and dance moves in "Magic Mike" will garner enough votes from both sexes. Although, I do think he's definitely got a great shot at winning in the category of "Best Shirtless Performance." This category was super hard for me to predict, with strong contenders like Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson, Anne Hathaway and host Rebel Wilson, who were all superb in their respective roles. But ultimately I think it's going to come down to the battle of America's sweethearts: Jennifer Lawrence for "Silver Linings Playbook" or Mila Kunis for "Ted." But I have to say, Rebel Wilson is my dark horse in this race with her unforgettable performance as Fat Amy in "Pitch Perfect." Although I don't predict her to win, I wouldn't be totally surprised if she did. When it comes to best fight, two superheroes are better than one, and six are better than two. That's why I'm predicting this category belongs to the epic fight in "The Avengers" where Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Hemsworth all team up to take down Tom Hiddleston. That's all I have to say about that...although, Mark Wahlberg getting his ass kicked by a teddy bear in "Ted" should definitely get an honorable mention. Now in this category I'm a little conflicted, so first I'm going to tell you who SHOULD win, followed by who WILL win. When it comes to the best at being bad, Javier Bardem should take home the golden popcorn for his role as Silva in "Skyfall." His take on this villain was layered, complex, and creeped the shit out of me. As for who will actually win, it's gotta be Tom Hardy as Bain in "The Dark Knight Rises." Thanks to tons of Halloween costumes, pop culture references, and a Superbowl malfunction that had everyone waiting for this Batman villain to pop out to wreak havok, Bain was hands down the most popular bad guy of the year. Considering that, I think it would be pretty hard for him to lose this award. Even to creeptastic Javier Bardem. Okay guys, that's it! My take on some of the categories we're most excited for at this year's MTV Movie Awards! Agree with me? Or did I totally get it wrong? Leave a comment and we'll duke it out there. And don't forget to tune in to MTV to see who wins this Sunday the 14th at 9/8 c. Thanks for watching Clevver Movies, I'm Erin Darling, see ya later!
