Thieves blow up a cash machine.
There is no limit to what some thieves will do. Recently, culprits decided to blow up a cash machine in the early hours of the morning.
The ATM blast occurred at a gas station in Hampshire, United Kingdom. The massive explosion caused scads of money to be blown on the ground.
However, police still aren’t sure exactly how much cash was taken. A detective chief inspector states “Although this was a relatively contained explosion and fortunately no-one was injured, the unpredictable nature of this type of offence means we could easily have been dealing with serious injury or death.”
Law enforcement has gone public, urging residents to examine all ATMs before touching. They are prompted to call police if any suspicious activity is noticed or if any wires or cables are running from the machine.
Last year, a gang of thieves arrived at a quick saver in Houston, Texas. They came with a pickup truck, smashed the wall of a convenience store and drove away with a dragging ATM.
According to the store owner, the machine had about $2000.
