    Supreme Court upholds Kenyatta's victory

    by PressTV

Kenya's Supreme Court has passed a landmark judgment to uphold the victory of Uhuru Kenyatta as president elect. This after a petition was filed by prime minister Raila Odinga who belongs to the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy party. Odinga had challenged the decision made by the interim electoral boundaries commission that declared his top rival Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubilee Alliance winner. The Odinga team had asked the court to order a new vote that would allow all eight presidential candidates to again contest the presidency.
