    Philippine contraceptive law splits nation

    The Phillippine supreme court has overturned a law increasing funding for sex education and distribution of free contraceptives. Religious groups complained that the law was sending the wrong message to young people. Its supporters said the law would help curb population growth which is seen as a major contributor to a slew of the country's social problems including poverty. Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas reports from Manila.
