At the tender age of 7, Rik van den Bosch pieced together a guitar from a can, a chunk of wood and a nylon string.
This gives you an idea of what this Dutchman’s all about. In his compositions and the way he plays the guitar, he shies from manuals and correct habits, settling somewhere outside the margins of academic art and plucking every note with an archer’s tensity.
For the past few years, Rik van den Bosch has been backed by the Dandies, a rhythm section which resembles a steam engine piled high with flares.
So all aboard this session’s freight train, and careful not to get thrown off.
