Yesterday we told you about director Lynne Ramsay standing up her cast and crew on the first day of shooting indie feature, Jane Got A Gun. Although the production is down a director, the film's producer and financier, Scott Steindorff said that they're hoping to push forward as best they can, considering the unusual circumstances. Here's the latest: The last minute search for a new director is going well, and they're quickly closing a deal with Gavin O'Connor, the writer and director behind Warrior and Pride And Glory, according to Deadline. If all goes as planned, O'Connor will start work on Jane Got A Gun as soon as this week. But, with this good news comes a little bad news, as Deadline also reports that Jude Law has dropped out of the cast because he signed on to specifically work with Lynne Ramsay. This is the second star to exit in the past few weeks, as Michael Fassbender also dropped out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts with X-Men: Days Of Future Past. He was replaced by Joel Edgerton, who is still officially signed on to the film, as is the film's lead and producer, Natalie Portman. It's still unclear on why Lynne Ramsay abruptly dropped out as director of the film, as she's declined to comment on the matter. But as always, leave your opinions and thoughts below, and we'll keep you updated right here on Clevver Movies. I'm Erin Darling, and until next time, thank you for watching Clevver Movies!
