We've all heard stories of actors not showing up to set, but here's a twist on that classic Hollywood tale, but this time, it's the director who was a no show. When the cast and crew of the upcoming Natalie Portman flick, Jane Got a Gun, showed up to set in New Mexico, there was one thing missing...the director. Lynne Ramsay, who helmed films like We Need To Talk About Kevin and Ratcatcher, not only stood up the crew but also dropped out of the project altogether according to Deadline. This film is being produced by Natalie Portman and Scott Steindorff, who confirmed to Deadline that the film is in crisis but they're determined to find another director as soon as possible, saying he is "shocked and disappointed" that Ramsay would do this to the production. Why the director failed to show up is unknown at the time, but I'm sure we'll hear more details, and her side of the story soon enough. So is this production doomed? Or do you think they'll be able to find a replacement soon enough to shoot on schedule? Share your thoughts below, or hit us up on Twitter, and tell us what you think about this strange but true Hollywood story. I'm Erin Darling, thanks for watching Clevver Movies!
