After months of secrecy, Jurassic Park 4 finally has a director! Deadline reports that Colin Trevorrow will helm Jurassic Park 4. You may remember hearing Colin Trevorrow's name during last year's festival season, as his first feature film, "Safety Not Guaranteed" was a Sundance favorite. The film earned Trevorrow a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature, and apparently a meeting with Universal pictures. Trevorrow is joining a prestigious line of Jurassic directors. We all remember Steven Spielberg directed the first two installments of the dinosaur adventure movie in the 90s, and handed over the reins to Joe Johnston for 2001's Jurassic Park 3. Jurassic Park 4 will be produced by Spielberg and Frank Marshall, after Kathleen Kennedy stepped away from the project to focus on Star Wars VII. So, why Trevorrow? He's fresh, talented, and a fan of the franchise. According to reports it seemed like he was dedicated to preserving the integrity of the characters and storyline of the franchise and therefore, a good fit to take over as director for the fourth installment. Now that Jurassic Park 4 has a director it's looking like we just may actually see it make that June 13th, 2014 release date! What do you think? Are you guys excited for Jurassic Park 4?
