Morrissey battles double pneumonia

Steven Morrissey is reportedly severely ill with double pneumonia with both his lungs infected. The Smiths' former frontman had to postpone a sold-out concert in San Francisco in March, and has had a string of bad luck because of his health. He canceled several shows less than two months ago due to a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus, which can lead to an increased risk of esophageal cancer.

The 53-year-old Morrissey toured North America last fall, played some shows in Australia and New Zealand in December and came back to perform in the United States earlier this year.

Morrissey co-founded The Smiths with Johnny Marr in 1982 and the two musicians co-wrote the band's songs for four albums before going their separate ways in 1987.

The San Francisco concert has been postponed to May 1 and the singer will reportedly still headline the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on March 14. His next performance back in the U.S. is March 18 in Lawrence, Kansas and the tour w
