Two American soldiers and at least two Afghans have been killed in the latest so-called 'insider attack' in Afghanistan. It happened at a jointly-operated base in the eastern province of Wardak. A man dressed in Afghan police uniform opened fire on US and Afghan soldiers from the back of a police truck. He was subsequently killed in the ensuing firefight. The attack took place as a deadline expired for US special forces to quit Wardak. Afghan President Hamid Karzai has accused them of overseeing torture and killings in the area.
