Shen Yun Performing Arts is currently performing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. A popular TV host saw the opening performance and described it as a "a wonderful banquet for the eyes and the ears."

Shen Yun Performing Arts played its first show in Kaohsiung on February 28 to a full house at Chih-The Hall of the Kaohsiung City Cultural Center.

Here's what Hakka TV network host Peng Jiani had to say.

[Peng Jiani, Hakka TV host]:
"I'm so moved! Shen Yun combines both visual and audio effects—it's a wonderful banquet for the eyes and the ears! Either the costumes or the music—really, wow! I cannot describe the impact it has on my heart with words."

Peng Jiani is known for her golden voice. She was impressed with the uniqueness of the Shen Yun Orchestra.

[Peng Jiani, Hakka TV host]:
"It combines Chinese and western music. Every part of it, either erhu or trumpet or oboe, is marvellous!"

Like many viewers, Peng Jiani was surprised at the interaction between the dancers and the animated backdrops.

[Peng Jiani, Hakka TV host]:
"When I first saw the animated backdrop, I was so surprised, wow! How did the dancer appear? Then the whole scene about her afterwards. The backdrop was also animated so well when the Buddha appeared. Yes, it's really a banquet for the eyes and the ears. I'll tell all my friends that the show is a must-see—every year they should come to see Shen Yun perform."

Shen Yun plays in Kaohsiung until Sunday March 5, and then on to Taichung.
