Before he goes back to playing Han Solo, Harrison Ford's got another gig lined up that will definitely help him brush up his comedy skills. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford will join the cast of Anchorman 2, playing a legendary newscaster in the vein of Peter Jennings or Tom Brokaw. The follow up to 2004's Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy will star original cast members Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, David Koechner and new addition, everyone's favorite Bridesmaid, Kristen Wiig. This isn't the first time Ford channeled his inner news anchor, he played an embittered veteran news anchor opposite a painfully optimistic Rachel McAdams in 2010's "Morning Glory." Little is known about what exactly will happen with Ford's character, we do know it will deal with the rise of the 24 hour news channels and will show the team move from San Diego to New York City. With a script penned by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, I know I'm excited to see what shenanigans this news team can get into this time around. What do you think about Harrison Ford's new comedy gig? Would he make a good anchorman, or are you more excited to see him in Star Wars? Let us know what you think below! Until next time, I'm Erin Darling, thanks for watching Clevver Movies!
