A blizzard tears through the Russian island of Sakhalin on Saturday.
Winds reached a speed of 35 metres per second, and the snowstorm forced highways, the airport and railway system to all close.
The snowstorm, the worst in Sakhalin this winter, is estimated to continue for two more days.
