In this video I will discuss
Green Tea Dosages
Green tea is best used both as a hot beverage and as a whole leaf extract
Constant long term use of green tea and green tea extract is most beneficial
How to use green tea
The extract should be taken with
at least one glass of water
The beverage is best consumed at a moderate temperature
Not hot, as it increases
the risk of mouth cancer
Because green tea has many active components even standardized extracts can vary greatly
Some contain no caffeine, others
no theanine, no antigens, or
None of these components at all
All however contain the polyphenols, but in different proportions of catechins
To complicate matters further:
Region, time of harvest,
differences in processing and
Storage or shipping methods can produce vastly different results
This is why I recommend you choose your suppliers carefully
I will show you several options later on
In terms of dosage
You should use at least two capsules per day
Green tea produces dose dependent effects
This means the more green tea you consume the better
This applies to both the pills and the hot beverage
The best types of pills to get are standardized green tea extract capsules
You use the green tea extract by taking one pill with at least one glass of water
Green tea has a short half-life so use it throughout the day
As a guideline, take one green tea capsule in the morning and one in the evening
Green tea's energy boosting effects can be felt starting from day one
Unfortunately, they wear off just as fast
This is why you need to
take green tea every day
Fortunately, the convenience offered by pills makes this very easy
A good standardized extract is one that provides over 90% polyphenols per
725 mg of product weight
With approximately half those catechins being represented by EGCG
I recommend a lightly caffeinated product
I would also recommend a simple whole leaf extract product in order to
Derive the benefits that come from the other active constituents beside catechins
It is also recommended to drink green tea as often as possible - in addition to the extract
Hot tea benefits the body through heat (calories and thermal vasodilator)
And liquid content
(increased active constituents dispersion)
Some healthcare practitioners add a dose of 200 mg of theanine twice daily
This may be useful for people under severe stress and not necessary for others
In summary,
You should take green tea multiple times throughout the day
And always with enough water
In this video we have discussed
