The country once again looks headed for political gridlock in the wake of this weekend's national poll.
According to the Interior Ministry and with almost all votes counted, the center-left coalition will win control of Italy's lower house, whereas the Senate looks to be deadlocked.
The split is a source of fresh anxiety to the eurozone.
