‘Les Miserables’: Oscars 2013 Performance

While everyone knew that the talented cast of ‘Les Miserables’ would be taking the stage for a dramatic performance, it was a surprise to see a sexy number from ‘Chicago’ by Catherine Zeta-Jones and a heartfelt performance from ‘Dream Girls’ by Jennifer Hudson (Isn't this the time for "Les Misérables", why so crowed???)

‘Les Miserables’ Takes The Oscars Stage

Then came the main attraction, when the entire (huge) cast of Les Miserables joined on stage for their first ever live performance together.

Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway lead a performance from the cast of Les Miserables at the 2013 Academy Awards. The actors were joined by their co-stars Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Helena Bonham Carter.

In case you missed the news, Anne won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Fantine in the film!

The performance started off with Hugh singing the Oscar-nominated song “Suddenly” and then segued into Anne performing a snippet of “I Dreamed a Dream” before the cast sang “One Day More”.
