    Mass austerity protests sweep Spain

    by PressTV

32 years ago, on February 23rd, Spanish militants tried to stage a military coup. Instantly, citizens from all over Spain came out to the streets in a cry for freedom and democracy. But other issues were also high on the agenda. They chanted slogans against austerity cuts and called for real democracy. And each group had their own reasons for demonstrating.
