David Fincher's take on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea should be a very interesting movie version of the Jules Verne classic novel, that was originally published back in 1870. But due to some setbacks, could the future of this film be in jeopardy? According to The Playlist, Brad Pitt will not star in the film, despite reports that he would. The Hollywood Reporter originally said that Pitt was no longer attached and ended up passing on it a while back, leaving the future of the film up in the air. Rumor has it that all the actors Fincher wants to work with are booked on other projects for the next year, although it is being reported that Channing Tatum's name is in the mix for the leading role. Disney could have put 20,000 Leagues into production this summer, but now with big problems in the casting department, it will most likely be pushed back for a release later than what they had initially anticipated. So what do you think about Channing Tatum as a potential replacement for Brad Pitt? Although they're very different actors, do you think Tatum could take on the lead in 20,000 Leagues? Share your thoughts below! I'm Erin Darling, and thanks for watching Clevver Movies!
