West versus East All Star Game Pick Prediction NBA Pro Basketball Odds Preview 2-17-2013

The Eastern Conference will face the Western Conference in the All Star Game from NBA pro basketball on Sunday night. The All Star Game will tip off from Houston Texas the home of the Rockets at 8PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by TNT.

The NBA odds from the All Star Game has the Western Conference favored by -3 points with an over under line of 290 ½ points.

In their meeting last season it was the Western Conference with the 152-149 win as Kevin Durant picked up the MVP Award. The Western conference has won three of the past four All Star Games. The Miami Heat will have three starters in the All Star Game as Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will represent the defending NBA Champions. LeBron James is trending another MVP season as he is averaging 27 points and 56% shooting from the floor on the year. Carmelo Anthony suffered an arm injury in the Knicks final game leading up to the All Star break. Anthony told NBA officials that he plans to play on Sunday night. Anthony leads the Eastern Conference with 28.6 points per game average this season with the New York Knicks. Second year man Kyrie Irving made the All Star Game and will be a reserve guard coming off the bench. Heat coach Erik Spoelsta will lead the East on Sunday night.

Kevin Durant will be the only Western Conference starter not residing in Los Angeles. He leads the team with 29.2 points per game average and is making 52% of his shots this season. Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard from the Lakers will both start. Bryant is averaging nearly 27 points a game and making 46% from the floor. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin from the LA Clippers will round up the starting lineup. Griffin is averaging 18 points a game. Sharp shooter James Harden keys the offense coming off the bench. Other notables include Russell Westbrook from Oklahoma City along with San Antonio Spurs stars Tony Parker and Tim Duncan. Greg Popovich of the Spurs will coach the west.
