Guardian's of the Galaxy has already started production guys, and the future is "bright," according to Executive Producer Victoria Alonso. Alonso seemed excited to talk about the new Guardians movie in a recent interview with CinemaBlend, and according to her there is an entire team ready to start shooting this June in London with director James Gunn flying out next week to jump start the action there. With the recent announcement that Rocket Raccoon and Groot will be making cameos in the film. CinemaBlend asked what we all want to know. Will these characters be people in costumes or will they be CGI? Well the answer was both! Alonso said quote "You can't do any motion capture with a raccoon -- they won't let you put the suit on [laughs]. But we will do rotomation, probably, for some of the behavior. Rocket will have his own personality, of course, and clearly we can't do mocap on a tree, per say, but we definitely will have performers to emulate what James Gunn will lead to be the behavior and the performance. He's very clear on where he wants to take the characters" For those of you out there who don't know, CGI stands for computer generated imagery and we see it everywhere in movies today. It takes a flat image that is created by computer software, and makes it come to life through computer generated simulation and virtually makes an image become life-like. If you've seen The Hulk in The Avengers, you have seen CGI at its finest. So, Guardian's of the Galaxy hits theaters August 1st, 2014, and it seems like the insiders are excited about it, but are you all? Do you think that Rocket should go full on CGI, or would you prefer a more human quality to the character? You all know the drill.
