Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Shilpa Shetty,Asha Bhosle, Gul Panag, Shilpa Shetty, Esha Gupta, Yami Gautam, Tamannaah, Adah Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari and several others were at the 5th Mirchi Music Awards held at the Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, on Thursday evening. Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog: The Radio Mirchi awards were a quick in and out … but it must be said that the effort put in to celebrate the music of my contribution to films was touching and most well done. The year, which was a veritable treat for fans of Bollywood music, produced a range of scintillating chartbusters that spanned several genresâ€"from the rustic retro score of 'Gangs of Wasseypur' to the soulful songs of 'Barfi!', from massy item numbers like 'ChikniChameli' and 'Halkatjawani' to the funky 'Tum hi ho bandhu' and 'Daarudesi'. Like every year, the Mirchi awards felicitated the best talent of the music world across 22 categories.
