Forever Can Wait - "Rest" A BlankTV Premiere!

    Artist city, country: Southampton
    Genre: BlankTV

Artist Biography: Forever Can Wait are a 5 piece alternative/post-hardcore band from Southampton. Forming in 2009, they have achieved more than your average band. Not only have they compiled and impressive list of support slots, but have played on stages at Butserfest 2011 and Takedown 2012 festivals, battling their way through fierce competition in order to gain these slots. A brand new set was unveiled at the Takedown showcase and the band ended up playing to a full room on the Big Deal Clothing stage. The band entered the studio to record their new single Rest with Neil Kennedy at The Ranch Production House, along with a few of the other new songs which were greatly received by Takedown Festival goers.

The band got an exclusive play of their yet to be released single Rest on Alex Baker's Kerrang! Radio Unsigned Programme, who also recommended them in a short review in Kerrang! Magazine. The band have performed to a variety of music fans supporting heavier acts and moving away from their pop-punk origins. This upcoming single release epitomises Forever Can Wait's sound, which originates from the changes they've made and opportunities they have taken, which will make it hard to ignore the great talent this band have to offer.

This song was recorded along with three other songs at the Ranch Production House, Southampton. The track utilises Tash Crump's impressive range and vocal tone countering the heavy guitars and driving drums.

The single was released at Southampton's Mo' Club in support of Natives and Burn The Fleet on December 14th 2012. The single release is limited to 100 physical copies, going on sale at this show and on our bigcartel store. It is also currently available digitally from various online retailers, with a b-side 'Falling Apart' only available with a physical CD. CD's contain hand written messages from each member on the back of the inserts.

They are currently preparing to enter the studio again to record another four songs. This time they will be heading to Middle Farm Studios in Devon to work with producer, James Bragg.

About The Video: This was our first real attempt at making a music video. We were put into touch with Steven Prebble from Set Sail Studios and discussed with him a concept for a video for our new single, Rest.

It's about a schizophrenic guy who tries to go about his daily routine, however, spends his life hearing some band play the same song and it unsurprisingly drives him insane. We filmed the video in one of Southampton's finest student properties, finding a great source of entertainment in the mess we had to tidy up, including a 3 month old glass of blackcurrant and a suspicious sticky crimson stain under the sofa. We were really put through our paces having to perform with great energy in a cramped stuffy living room. There was nothing more that we wanted than to turn the radiator off, but we had no idea where the switch was.

We took a chance getting in an actor with zero prior training and experience and we think it really paid off. He took direction incredibly well and has a real good crazy guy face. We think Steven managed to really get the best of our actor Graham and we're really happy with the outcome.
