Recipe to prepare "Veg. Omelet", an innovative Gujarati recipe:
1 bowl thick batter of bengal gram flour/besan (mixed with little salt, red chilli powder and water)
1 tomato, sliced
1 bulblet onion, sliced
1 tsp garlic, chopped
1 green chilli, chopped
salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp refined oil
Heat oil in a pan, and spread it evenly.
Stir the batter once, and pour it in the pan (with a cup or small bowl). Spread it evenly, and keep the flame low.
Place tomato and onion slices (one by one) over the batter. Sprinkle green chilli, garlic, salt and red chilli powder over it.
Cover the pan, and let it cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame.
Uncover, flip the omelet to other side, and press it lightly.
Cover the pan again, and cook for around 1/2 minute.
Serve the tasty Veg. Omelet.
