It was Day 2 of Hollywood Week for the boys last night and included three shocking eliminations! Hey guys thanks for tuning back in to ClevverMusic, here's your IDOL CAP. Those boys that survived Group Day are left with one final Hollywood Week challenge- "Solo Day". The guys have 12 hours to pick a song from a list and work with a vocal coach to perfect the track to perform for the four judges. And for the first time in the competition they are allowed to play an instrument if they choose.

A couple early favorite contestants sang Lady Gaga songs including Lazaro Arbos with "Edge of Glory". Mississippi's self-proclaimed "big black woman trapped in a little boy's body" Papa Peachez sang Gaga's "You And I" with his own spin on it. However, Judge Nicki criticized Papa's song choice and says he lost his "fire". We found out Lazaro made it through but in a shocking moment Papa Peachez did not.

Moving on, there were some new standouts that emerged including Devin Velez who sang "What a Wonderful World" and moved on to the next round. Another standout Nick Boddington played the keyboard Grace Potter's "Stars" in the best performance of the night, check it out.

Memorable contestant Matheus Fernandes sang Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" really emotional but didn't seem Stronger with the performance. Judge Nicki saw his constant reference to his height as a weakness and he was surprisingly sent home. Also startlingly sent home was judge favorite Micah Johnson sang "I Told You So".

We will leave you with the oddest performance on the night: 17-year-old Charlie Askew who dressed in an oversized grey suit and blue sneakers. He sang a touching rendition of "Somebody That I Used to Know," check it out.

Nicki loved Charlie's performance calling him a true artist for his odd quality. Of course he made it through. Be sure to tune in to "Idol" next week for the ladies at Hollywood Week.
