Demi Lovato opens about her ongoing recovery in her cover story for Cosmo on Campus. It's no secret Demi has been a huge advocate for girls overcoming body issues and emotional disorders and the starlet uses her own experience as inspiration. In the interview, she explains that while she did experience a lot of success, that didn't translate into happiness --- saying quote, "Yes, I had a lot of success, but mostly it was me and my disease. I was very sick and I did not enjoy the opportunities and rewards of my hard work." Despite her growing public image, Demi was definitely hurting inside. But she has since taken control of her life, going on to explain how she has realized that her future is in her own hands. She reveals quote, "The thing I've learned over the last couple years is that happiness is a choice. I read a quote that said, "Pain is inevitable but optimism and happiness is an option." We're so glad to see how much Demi has overcome in the last few years and can't wait to see what she brings to the table in 2013.
