Disney CEO Bob Iger recently confirmed we'd be getting some additional Star Wars movies outside of the upcoming trilogy, and now we're getting some new information on which characters might be getting their own spin offs. According to sources close to LucasFilm, Entertainment Weekly reports that there are two Star Wars spin off projects in the works, one focusing on a young Han Solo, the other featuring bounty hunter Boba Fett . The Han Solo film would take place in the time between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope, which leads us to believe they'd need to cast a younger actor to replace Harrison Ford who was 35 years old when he filmed the first Star Wars movies. Who will play Boba Fett in his spin off movie is also currently unknown, but the film is said to take place sometime during the time period of the original trilogy, before becoming a sarlacc snack. There is currently no word on who will direct these films, but Bob Iger said that screenwriters working on these spin off films would be Simon Kinberg of Sherlock Holmes fame, and Lawrence Kasdan who penned The Empire Strikes Back. LucasFilm and Disney have both declined to comment on whether or not these films are in development, but it's still early enough where they could change direction entirely and focus on other characters. What do you think of these potential spin offs? Who could possibly take the place of Harrison Ford to play a young Han Solo? Tell us what you think below.
