    Queensland Parliament Member Presents Certificate to Shen Yun

    Shen Yun Performing Arts played its fourth and final performance at Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre on Sunday afternoon, 3 February.

    After the performance, a member of the Queensland State Parliament presented a certificate of appreciation to Shen Yun performers.

    Anthony Shorten is the member for Algester. He brought his wife and friends to see Shen Yun.

    [Anthony Shorten, Member for Algester]:
    “It was a wonderful performance. I know the people I was sitting with and the rest of the audience thoroughly enjoyed it and you are truly athletes and performers and entertainers and I thank you for that.”

    Mr Shorten explained the certificate.

    It’s a small token of my appreciation to the company and Shen Yun and to the performers for their efforts and bringing joy and happiness to so many people.”

    And summing up the impact of the evening.

    [Anthony Shorten, Member for Algester]:
    “Just the magnificent dancing by the performers and the beautiful costumes—they're the memories people will take away with them.”

    Shen Yun Performing Arts heads to New Zealand this week, before returning to Australia for shows in Sydney and Canberra.
