    Welby sworn in as Archbishop of Canterbury

    It has been called the impossible job, but the right reverend Justin Welby was sworn in as Archbishop of Canterbury, and will begin guiding the divided Anglican church's tens of millions of souls.

    His first big task will be avoiding a split over gay marriage and the ordination of female bishops, either of which could lead to a schism between progressives and traditionalists.
