Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli soldiers came to blows on Saturday in the occupied West Bank after Palestinians set up another encampment.
For the past few weeks, Palestinian groups have been setting up encampments in different West Bank locations to try to stop Israeli settlement expansions, all of which have been removed by Israeli security forces.
A Palestinian witness said Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the 150 or so Palestinian demonstrators.
An Israeli official meanwhile said army troops used non-lethal riot dispersal means only after Palestinians began to throw stones at them.
About 500,000 Israelis and 2.5 million Palestinians live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians broke down in 2010 over the issue of Israel's continued settlement building.
