It's official! On Thursday, Relativity Media announced they're betting the big bucks on funnyman Jim Carrey. In a brief press announcement, the studio proclaimed they're financing, producing, and distributing Carrey's latest heist comedy, "Loomis Fargo." Inspired by true events of the late 90's, this action-packed comedy tells the story of 4 Southerners who stole nearly $20 million from an armed Loomis Fargo truck. Carrey's plays an unhappy bank employee, who is feed up with life and finally ready to take a chance. He'll risk it all for love, money, and making his dream-life a reality. Although the plot line has attacked some skeptics, who are questioning the level of humor that will emerge from such a dramatic tale, the film does have an impressive Hollywood roster behind it. Napoleon Dynamite director, Jared Hess will be sitting in the Director's chair, while SNL's Lorne Michaels will produce alongside John Goldwyn and Danny McBride, who are on board as executive producers. And to top it off, the flick is based on an original screenplay written by creator of NBC's hit comedy Up All Night, Emily Spivey. "Loomis Fargo" is set to start production in April and from the sound of things there doesn't appear to be in any rookie jokesters cashing in on this comedic thriller. But what do you guys think of Carrey's new movie project, does it sound like the right fit? Let us know down below or hit us up on twitter at Clevver Movies. Before then, you can catch Carrey in his 2 upcoming films, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, where he plays a rival magician to Steve Carell on March 15th and Colonel Stars and Stripes in the Kick-Ass sequel on June 28th. Until Next time, I'm Tara Turnure from Hollywood.
