Stephen Lendman on the Trial of Aafia Siddiqui
  • 11 years ago
Stephen Lendman, an associate of the Center for Research on Globalization and a Harvard graduate, has written extensively on issues of social justice and human rights. Here he offers reflections on the show trial of a Pakistani woman, Aafia Siddiqui, the mother of three children and a Ph.D. in neuroscience, for her alleged attempt to shoot a team of US soldiers in Afghanistan in July 2008. Siddiqui now faces up to 50 years in prison on seven charges, including attempted murder, assault, and possession of a firearm while committing a violent crime.
