Woods’ 75th Career Win At Torrey Pines: ‘I Started Losing Patience’

Tiger Woods opened his 2013 PGA season with a victory at Torrey Pines and was delighted to do it without the pain he endured at his U.S. Open victory in 2008.

"I feel great. It's nice to walk around here without any discomfort. That was a different kind of week but this week I played great and built a nice little lead there."

Woods was six strokes in front overnight at 17 under with 11 holes to play in the fog-delayed final round.

He kept his closest challengers at bay as he signed off with a level-par 72 despite a late bogey, double-bogey, par, bogey series.

Woods said the slow pace of play on the course took its toll on his game.

"I was telling David (Feherty) I started losing my patience out there because it was just so freaking slow. We played just over nine holes in three hours and three of them are par three's so As I said I started to lose my patience a little bit and consequently I made a few mistakes."

The win marks the eighth time Woods has won at Torrey Pines, which includes his playoff win in the 2008 US Open.
