I hope you guys are sitting down, because remember all those times J.J. Abrams said he is too devoted to the 'Star Trek' universe and 'Star Wars' is too close to his heart for him to ever consider taking over the franchise? Yeah, apparently he's changed his mind.

While neither Disney nor Lucasfilm has made an official announcement, The Wrap reports that J.J. will be directing the next 'Star Wars' movie, citing quote, "an individual with knowledge of the production." Not convinced? Just minutes later, Deadline confirmed that their own "source with knowledge of the situation" told them "It's a done deal." Still not convinced?! Well, The Hollywood Reporter has jumped on the bandwagon, too! They say that according to their SOURCES, plural, J.J. is definitely in talks with Disney and nearing an agreement. As far as we know, J.J. is only signing up for 'Star Wars' Episode VII, which will be written by 'Toy Story 3' scribe Michael Arndt.

So. Deep breath. Technically this is just a rumor, but it's a pretty darn well-supported one so what the heck do you guys think of this news?!
