One of the most persistent rumors about this summer's Man of Steel is the appearance of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the new Batman in a possible cameo. We finally hear what JGL has to say about the rumors and even some info that a classic Superman character will be getting a gender switch. With The Dark Knight trilogy director Christopher Nolan tackling producer duties on Man of Steel and Warner Bros planning a Justice League movie, it's not unreasonable to think that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could end up making an appearance as inheritor of the Batman cowl. Sure, his reps have already denied the rumors, but what does JGl say about a possible Man of Steel cameo? In an interview with MTV, Gordon-Levitt claims he hadn't actually heard such rumors and insists that when he decides to join any movie, he'll let us know, citing his recent Twitter announcement about joining Sin City 2 as an example. So it looks like we can finally put these rumors to rest, right? Okay, probably not, but at least we only have a few months to see for ourselves who in fact is telling the truth. Another recent rumor courtesy of IMDB who has actress Rebecca Buller listed as playing "Jenny Olsen" in the Superman reboot. As most of you know, JIMMY Olsen is the Daily Planet's resident photographer and Clark Kent's pal. In the recent Man of Steel trailer, Buller is seen running away from an explosion alongside Laurence Fishburne, who plays Daily Planet editor Perry White, leading many to believe Jimmy Olsen will be a female in Zack Snyder's Superman universe. Of course, IMDB isn't the most reliable source, so this should be taken with a grain of salt. I guess we'll have to wait until June 14th when Man of Steel opens in theaters to find out for sure, but are you sad to hear Joseph Gordon-Levitt won't be making a cameo in the movie and do you think changing Olsen's gender will anger die hard Superman fans?
