Beyoncé helps usher in the President for a second term at this weekend's Inauguration ceremony. You're watching ClevverMusic, welcome back. The 57th Presidential Inauguration ceremony was held Monday January 21st 2013 on MLK Day with events all day long. The day started with a swearing-in ceremony on the White House lawn where the 44th President Barack Obama and Vice President took the oath of office in front of the crowds, followed by a speech from Obama with the optimistic theme of endless possibilities and coming together. Singers James Taylor, Kelly Clarkson, and Beyoncé brought some star power to the ceremony. James performed first an acoustic guitar version of "America The Beautiful", followed by Kelly Clarkson belting out an impressive "My Country 'Tis of Thee" rendition that solidified her pick to sing at the event. The final performance at the swearing-in was from loud Obama supporter, Beyoncé, who sang the National Anthem. Four years ago she sang "At Last" at the one of the inaugural balls but for this second term, Beyoncé got a performance upgrade singing "The Star-Spangled Banner". Interestingly, rumor has it she lip synched this song to prior recording, and that Kelly sang her song live. Beyoncé was dressed in emerald flower earrings and a black sequin gown and she sounded as amazing as she looked during her performance of the patriotic track. She was pretty serious during the performance but by the end she was grinning ear to ear as Obama and Biden smiled as well. Immediately following her performance she clasped hands with the POTUS who said "Thank you so much" and embraced First Lady Michelle with a kiss. Of course husband Jay-Z was on hand to lend his support and watch Bey take the stage. The two are longtime supporters of Obama and have raised millions for this campaign. Check out her full performance with the link in the description and then tell us what you thought of her version of the patriotic song? Do you think she lip synched? Thanks for watching Clevver Music as always, I'm Misty Kingma see you soon.
