A study finds that Viagra could potentially be used for weight loss.

Viagra is one of the most well known pharmaceutical drugs on the market.

It is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, but now scientists from the University of Bonn in Germany have found that is may also help reduce the risk of obesity by converting white fat cells.

The scientists found mice that were given the active chemical in Viagra, called sildenafil, were able to maintain their weight despite being fed a high fat diet.

Over half a billion people in the world are overweight, so this new discovery may lead to further investigation of sildenafil as a possible weight loss treatment for humans.

Another study found some related results that may show the correlation between weight loss and erectile dysfunction.

One study put 31 obese men on a low calorie diet, and even a slight decrease in their weight led to improvement in their urinary and sexual problems.

Doctor Gary Wittert, professor of medicine at University of Adelaide in Australia suggested: “Instead of sitting down in front of the telly, take your wife by the hand and say, 'Come, darling, let's go for a walk.’ After a month of this, her heart will get fonder and your erection will get stronger."
