An artist only works in his sleep.
Even the most talented artists need to be awake while envisioning their next masterpiece.
Not so for a Welsh Australian artist, named Lee Hadwin, who creates portraits and landscapes, all while sleeping.
He has been drawing unconsciously since the young age of four. While he was in his teens and throughout his 20s, he would wake up to find tables, walls and even clothes drawn on. Today sketch pads are strewn around his home, just waiting for the sleeping artist to get to work.
He has a three piece collection of Marilyn Monroe portraits. The striking images depict her facial features and hair in great detail. Another work appears to be an abstract painting of varying round shapes, created by circular strokes in colors of orange, red and purple.
Hadwin states “People ask me all the time what it is like but I can't really answer that because I don't feel it’s my work as I don't recall doing it in the first place. You should see my reports from school. I was appalling at art and couldn't draw at all.”
