A small child's teeth are covered in silver caps during a routine dental visit.
One recent report may give people another reason to despise a trip to the dentist.
A mom in Phoenix was left furious when her daughter walked out of the dentist’s office.
The four-year-old child needed to have four cavities filled and after she was sedated, her mom was told to go into the waiting room. The mom took her still sleepy child home and when she awoke, realized every single tooth was capped with stainless-steel crowns.
Her whole mouth showcased silver teeth. A former official for the Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry claims that the caps must have been necessary to fill the girl’s cavities and her other teeth which were most likely deteriorating.
In another case of a dental visit gone wrong, a 60-year-old woman from Sweden had quite a painful experience. During her dental implant surgery, a three centimeter long drill came loose and fell into her mouth.
A hospital official stated “She tried to spit it out, and was made to cough, but she’d already swallowed.”
She was able to recover after a procedure but full recovery took more than a month.
