India raises terror issue at UNSC
Indian envoy to the UN Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday (Jan 16) raised the issue of terrorism at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meet in the wake of killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistan. Participating in a counter- terrorism debate presided over by Pakistan's Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Puri said that the fight against terrorism has to be "unrelenting and fought across all fronts". He further said that resort to the use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy is short-sighted. Pakistan is constantly denying the charges of brutal killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops on January 8 in the Indian Territory.
