This monologue is based on Jake Ehrlich's
defence speech on behalf of his client,
    Lawrence Ferlinghetti, accused of
    obscenity for having published "Howl",
    Allen Ginsberg's legendary poem.

Ehrlich won the case when his client was acquitted
and the judge decided that the poem was of
    "redeeming social importance".
