Salvage experts inspect grounded Shell oil rig

Salvage experts prepare to inspect the stricken Kulluk drilling rig grounded on an Alaskan island in a New Year's Eve storm.

The Royal Dutch Shell rig remains upright and stable not far from Kodiak Island after being tossed by high winds and seas.

The drilling rig sustained some damage and flooding but none of its 155,000 gallons of fuel and other petroleum products have so far leaked into the Atlantic Ocean.

It was unclear how serious the damage is or how long it'll take to move Kulluk from the site.
