Chicago Bulls versus Charlotte Bobcats Pick Prediction NBA Pro Basketball Odds Preview 12-31-2012

The 7-23 Charlotte Bobcats will be the road team as they face the 16-12 Chicago Bulls in an NBA pro basketball game on Monday afternoon. Tip off time from Chicago is scheduled for 3PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by the NBA League Pass Channel.

The NBA odds in this pro basketball contest have the home team Chicago Bulls favored by -11 ½ points with an over under line of 187 points. There has been no movement in the side or total since the odds came out a few hours ago.

The teams met three times during the lockout shorted season last year with the Bulls winning all three games and covering the point spread in two of the games.

The Bobcats are a miserable 5-12 on the road this season. The team is on an 18 game losing streak since matching their season win total of last year at seven games way back on November 24th at Washington. They have been bad defensively as the Bobcats have allowed 100 or more points in 15 of the 18 games on this skid. They come off a 98-95 home defeat on Saturday night to the New Orleans Hornets as a +3 ½ point underdog. The total came in at over 190 points. Charlotte fails to hold a 21 point lead. The top four scorers are guards who all four shoot for low percentage with the best shooter being Ben Gordon who makes 43% from the floor. If you can’t find easy hoops around the bucket you are in for long nights.

The Bulls are 9-7 on their home court this season. There is still no timetable on the return to the lineup for Derrick Rose. Speculation is after the All Star Break. No need to hurry as long as the Bulls remain over .500 they will make the playoffs in the weak Eastern conference. There has been a definite drop in scoring for Chicago without Rose as the team puts up just 92 points a game good for 27th in the NBA. They still defend and its what’s keeping Chicago above water while Rose is rehabbing his knee. The Bulls broke a two game losing streak by beating Washington on Saturday 87-77 as a -11 point betting home favorite.
