Aux alentours de Whispers Lake, hameau perdu dans les montagnes, vit dans une humble masure une étrange femme. Personne ne l'a jamais approchée. Elle ne sort qu'une fois la nuit tombée pour cueillir des reflets d'étoiles à la surface d'un lac. Une nuit, la Lune disparaît mystérieusement. Plongés dans l'obscurité, les villageois paniquent. Sous l'impulsion du patriarche de la communauté, ils décident de punir celle qu'ils suspectent de sorcellerie en incendiant sa demeure. Au terme d'une course-poursuite infernale, la fugitive leur échappe et fait réapparaître la Lune, avant de rejoindre le reflet de l'astre au fond de l'eau.

Near Whispers Lake, a lone town in the mountains, lives a strange woman in a humble hovel. Nobody has ever approached her. She only goes out at night, to gather star reflections she picks up at the surface of a lake. One night, the moon mysteriously disappears. In the dark, the villagers start to panic. Under the leadership of the patriarch of the community, they decide to punish the woman they suspect of witchcraft by burning her house. After a chase, the fugitive manages to escape and makes the Moon reappear. Then she joins the reflection of the Moon beneath the water surface.
