Welcome to our new series: "Minute on GizmoCube". This is a bi-weekly series which aims to keep you up to date in the world of tech in a minute or less!
Today we take a look at Google Maps which has finally landed on iOS. The app, according to Google CEO Eric Schmidt is "better" than it's Android counterpart. Google Maps on iOS does still lack offline and indoor maps, but Google notes that those features will make it's way in an update soon.
Youtube (by Google) also introduced their iOS app Youtube capture, which allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to easily shoot, edit, and upload videos from their device up to Youtube. Users can even trim, enhance, and (my favorite) stabilize their clips on the fly. While I'm slightly confused why Youtube didn't bundle uploading in with their stock app appropriately named: "Youtube", this is definitely a step in the right direction.
