At least nine dead in Pakistan blast

Anguish in Pakistan after Taliban militants kill at least nine people in a bomb blast in Peshawar.

A senior provincial minister died in the hospital after the attack.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) INJURED MAN, AZIZ KHAN, SAYING:

"The minister was ahead of me. I was walking behind him with his gunman. Suddenly there was a blast near the tea shop and the medicine store. My legs were injured and many others were also injured."

The Taliban targeted a political rally -- leaving streets soaked in blood.

At least 30 people were wounded in the attack

At the hospital medical workers scramble to do what they can to save lives, but some were beyond their reach.
