Fans and family members of Jenni Rivera celebrated the life of the singer at a Los Angeles memorial service on Wednesday (December 19). A red casket sat onstage amid a sea of white roses, as images of Rivera played on a big screen. Rivera was killed in a plane crash in Mexico on December 09. She was 43.

"Zero Dark Thirty," a movie about the capture of Osama bin Laden, received some harsh criticism from Arizona Senator John McCain. McCain, who was P.O.W. and endured torture during Vietnam, said the movie left him sick and called it, "wrong." His comments centered around the film's depiction of waterboarding, which McCain said, contrary to the movie, never yielded useful information.

Finally, Los Angeles police arrested a teenager in connection with various celebrity "swatting" incidents - where prank emergency calls were made, sending response teams to the homes of Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber, among others. Police have not provided details on his identity, exact age or background - but did say Miley Cyrus and Simon Cowell were also victims of the hoax.
