A teacher is arrested for streaking.
Recently, a fifth grade teacher in Vineland, New Jersey lost his job for allegedly streaking in the nude. He had been teaching at the same school for eight years and was even once named “Teacher of the Year” by his co-workers.
But earlier this year, police arrested him following a complaint of a nude man running through an apartment complex. Officers found the teacher, who matched the witnesses description at a nearby adult book store.
Although the man initially denied being at the scene, he later admitted to streaking because someone he met online had dared him to. A hearing was held concerning the teacher’s fate in October, however the Department of Education recently agreed to fire him, citing that school officials have a “high standard of conduct in and out of the classroom.”
Earlier this year, James Pepe, a social studies teacher at a Florida High School was arrested for Solicitation of First Degree Murder. Pepe was allegedly planning to kill another teacher, Robert Meredith from a nearby high school.
The two men had a long history of bickering.
