Australia's tough cigarette packaging laws have prompted one company to sell stickers to help smokers conceal the health warnings and graphic images.

Legislation that went into effect less than two weeks ago stripped packets of all branding, bright colours and logos, leaving only the name printed in identical small font.

The packets also display images depicting a range of diseases intended to warn smokers off the habit.

Boxwrap, the company selling the stickers, says demand is so great that its website crashed under the load.

The Australian government says it is seeking legal advice to determine whether the product is illegal.
